On Thursday we left Pompano Beach and the sights and sounds of the city to travel further south to the Everglades National Park. We stopped in the first campground inside the park, Lone Pine Key. The campground is beautiful with tall pines, palms and lots of other vegetation not familiar to us. The campsites are really large and grassy, very welcome after the tight quarters of the last two RV parks we’ve stayed in.
