Today we drove into the famous town of Hershey to tour Hershey’s Chocolate World. The street lights are made of (Lite Chocolate).
Besides the chocolate factory there is a world class amusement park. But sad to say we did not have time to join in the fun. My niece Ashley and her brothers would be in heaven. You can put on a chef’s hat and build your own king size chocolate bar. We not only toured the simulated factory, (this is us on the tour and at the end your in chocolate heaven)but also took a trolley tour past the Hershey mansion, the school for disadvantaged kids, the military school, the Hershey Hotel, the botanical garden and other projects that Milton Hershey funded to build the town and help others.
The Hershey history is quite interesting and was told in a very comical and entertaining style by our two guides. We got a good laugh and enjoyed the sign-a-longs of old songs from days gone by.
After the tour we drove back up to the Hershey Hotel and walked through the shops and out back through the beautiful gardens surrounding Koi ponds.
We will rest and catch up on Sunday. Business has been hopping in this particular park, so taking a day of rest will be much appreciated and enjoyed.
