This little highway is covered with bear scat and we caught glimpses of black bears as we drove. There are big turnouts along a lake into which Bear Glacier calves its icebergs right next to the road. With a clear and sunny day, it was the perfect photo op. We were so blessed for this sunny day. You don't get any closer than this.
We soon pulled into Bear River RV Park in Stewart BC and spent the rest of the day catching up with paperwork and taking a walk. This is the probably the best RV park in town. It is clean the manager Bob is nice and walked you thru the park for the best place. They have cable TV both Canadian and Seattle stations as well a a very good working WiFi at your site for those who need that. Price per night is $25 Canadian. We are really beginning to encounter the infamous Alaskan mosquitoes and man-eating flies. Had we known it would rain the next day, we may have switched this activity for our next morning site seeking.
