After another morning of finals, we left Watson Lake about 2:30 PM. The road is good but there is some gravel sections. Need we say dust. All you have to do is slow down, and eat it for a few seconds.
We then went over the continental Divide. This is the lowest crossing of the Divide for vehicles that exist. The day was sunny with just a few clouds. It was a short and uneventful trip to Teslin a 73 mile long lake, arriving in time to eat dinner, take in the Northwest Wildlife Museum and drool over the things in the gift shop. They have beautiful jewelry and carvings of jade, bone, stone, wood and antlers. Ellen resisted the urge to buy something so early in the trip. Besides we’ll be coming back through here as we head home.
We stayed a lodge/RV park next to Teslin Lake. Check out the lake side RV sites. This is water front!
