These first 2 pictures were taken AT 12:30 AM in the MORNING just after midnight. It is so weird. It is so hard to get to sleep at a normal time.
The next morning we took a walk and came upon a red fox with his front paws up on a motorcycle sniffing the goodies in the pack on the bike. Darn! We didn’t have our cameras with us. The fellow on the motorcycle was a native Alaskan and gave us all sorts of travel information and ideas. He also mentioned that there are a less travelers this year.

After the last final of the quarter we headed out about 11:30 AM stopping along another section of Teslin Lake which is very long. We also stopped at Johnson’s Crossing for their world famous cinnamon rolls and coffee. There are very good, just like Ellen’s mom used to make with raisins. But I can say that Ellen’s run neck in neck with these. Need we say a tad better! Sadly, this place is for sale too.
Marv chatted with a fellow from Australia gassing up his antique car. He is part of a tour that drove from Vancouver up the Klondike loop and they were heading back down to Vancouver. People from all over the world had their cars shipped here just to drive on the famous Alaskan Hwy.
We arrived in Whitehorse and set up camp. Tomorrow we start exploring the area for 2-3 days.
