Evening walk at Kluane Lake

Tuesday, August 5, 2009

Last night we went for an evening walk around the lake, and stumbled into the old Alaskan Highway and walked along that back toward our camp. Ellens dad might remember the good old dirt roads! The good old days!
It is berry season, one reason there are bear warnings at every rest stop and pull-out. We stopped along the way to snap pictures of the berries and many flowers.
We also finally got around to adding our Alaska Sticker to our "where we have been map" So many places to see.
More later....

  1. Hi! Just received your July 24th letter. I loved reading it and hearing from you both. I miss you too. Looking forward to seeing you in the Fall. My new next door neighbor, Hiram, has a computer and is allowing me to type this message on his keyboard. Keen, huh! Well, don't want to take up too much time on my neighbor's computer. Thanks for keeping in touch. Love, kisses & hugs, Karen
